Protective head gear and footwear with a heel is MANDATORY for all riders.


Description of Competition

To ride one of two marked courses--6 miles OR 10 miles--setting a comfortable competitive trail pace. (Riders can only sign up for one course.) Ideal time to be determined by SPHO-NJ. There may be jumps on the riding course but all have go arounds. The courses will be marked. There will be one checkpoint at which each team will be given a token to be turned in at the finish line. Teams will be dispatched at three minute intervals. Overtaking teams have right of way.

ALL RIDING STYLES WELCOME - Only time counts! A horse and rider may compete in only one of the classes.

Entry fee Day of Ride: $35.00/person; SPHO-NJ members $25.00/person.

Riders who send in a pre-registration by May 15th will receive a $5.00/person discount. Waiver and Release of Liability form must be signed by all riders at the registration table the day of pleasure trail pace or during on-line registration. To pre-register, please click HERE.

DIRECTIONS

From the South:
Go West on I-195. Take Exit 11 for IMLAYSTOWN/COX'S CORNER. Bear right at yield sign. At the Stop sign go straight onto Imlaystown/Hightstown Road. *At the next Stop sign, make a right onto East Branch Road. Proceed past Stone Tavern Equestrian Center, Hickory Ridge Stables and Assunpink Management Area Regional Office. Approximately 1/4 mile from the Regional Office you will see the Conservation Center (log cabin) on your right. Look for the SPHO sign and horse trailers.

From the West:
Go East on I-195. Take exit for IMLAYSTOWN/COX'S CORNER. Bear left at yield sign. At the Stop sign, go straight onto Imlaystown/Hightstown Road; then as above

.*From Rt. 524:
Take Rt. 524 West. Pass the Horse Park of NJ and make a right onto ImlaystownHightstown Road; then as above.
